Ameritech customers with large PBX systems: Ameritech software setup costs from $3250 (50 phones) to $6750 according to our last price list. You can submit your initial file on an Excel spread sheet and update over the internet.

GTE sells PS-ALI software for $640.80! You need to get your data base information into the 911 system. PS-ALI is software that will allow you to enter your telephone numbers and specific location information.

If ISDN-PRI is not available or affordable, you can buy dedicted 911 trunks. In rural areas, these can be hundreds of dollars per month as the trunk(s) have to be delivered to the city where the 911 router is located, which can be many miles away. These trunks, also know as CAMA trunks, don't use normal touch-tone, so you probably have to buy a special "sender" card for your PBX. Some older PBX systems will also need to purchase an external adapter box, such as one made by Proctor. These run about $10,000 or so.
