Music On Hold Options

Digital Communications is pleased to provide four different styles of music on hold for our customers.

  • The most basic music on hold is included in your phone system. Digital renditions of “Yellow Rose of Texas” and “Christmas- An American Folk Song” can be played for your callers while on hold at no additional cost to you. This sounds very cute the first time you hear it. You will probably call us back in less than 3 days to shut it off.

  • Connecting your own radio to the system is the next option for your music on hold. You might check with your attorney regarding possible copyright violations. The connection is made through a jack on the outside of the system and the headphone jack on your radio. The radio must be located next to the system cabinet, and must be on for the music on hold to play. Callers hear whatever station you are listening to when they are placed on hold.

  • A second option for music on hold is a $195 MP3 player that holds up to 60 minutes of music or messages.  You plug this unit into the USB port of your newer PC and use Windows Explorer to copy music files or messages into this unit.  Comes with necessary cables and instructions.  Copy the files in the order that you want them to play.

We take Mastercard and Visa so you can have this unit shipped to you directly. You probably will need a telephone tech to connect the box to your phone system, unless you are replacing an existing external music device, such as a radio.

  • The third option for music on hold is a $350 music on hold system in which no outside radio is needed. You have the option of either a CD or cassette system. All you would provide would be the CD or cassette that you would like to play for your hold music. You place your choice of music or message into the music on hold system box and it downloads your CD or cassette. Once download is complete, you may remove your CD or cassette. This may be updated as often as you like, simply download new messages or music each time you would like to change what your customers hear on hold. Press BACK on your browser.
